Every dataset is wrong somewhere. This is the record of what we have found and fixed, so you can judge how carefully it is kept. 6212 communities are currently mapped, drawn from a 16,390-record index.

Community descriptions were being cut to 320 characters when the data was exported, so 23% of them arrived at your browser already incomplete and the rest of the text existed nowhere. Raised to 700. Truncated entries fell from 923 to 36.

These rows had no country at all, which made them unreachable by any region filter. Their coordinates were reverse-geocoded and every value records that it came from a coordinate rather than a source document. One disagreed with its own text — an urban kibbutzim collective geocoded to Canada — and was corrected by hand and flagged.

Communities geocoded to the same town centre were drawing on top of each other, so only one was ever visible and the others looked absent. 716 stacks covering 2,083 pins. Clicking one now fans it out. No coordinate was invented to achieve this.

They were each listed as a separate community at the township's single coordinate. Sadhana Forest and Solitude Farm were kept separate: they have their own domains and their own visitors.

A 2018 event listing, a garden project post, and four towns and refugee settlements that were never intentional communities. Each is recorded with its reason so a re-harvest cannot quietly re-admit it.
